Munich, 7th March 2024. Westwing, Europe’s No. 1 in Beautiful Living e-Commerce, opens its second offline Store in Germany. With the store-in-store space in the Breuninger flagship store in Stuttgart, Westwing creates a 360-degree experience and brings the brand to life in retail.

More than 100 invited guests celebrated the opening of the new Store. In addition to Westwing founder and Chief Creative Officer Delia Lachance and Gerhard Schmalholz, Managing Director of the Breuninger flagship store in Stuttgart, the guests included presenter Jennifer Knäble and entrepreneur Johannes Kliesch. As part of the opening ceremony, Delia Lachance took part in a panel discussion with Gerhard Schmalholz about the joint partnership, trends and sustainability.

On the 4th floor of the Breuninger flagship store in Stuttgart, Westwing presents its customers a curated selection from the Westwing Collection on more than 170 square metres. The portfolio consists of take-away products such as decorative items that can be purchased directly in the Store. Larger products such as armchairs and sofas can be conveniently ordered in-store using a QR code and delivered to your home. Breuninger has been setting high standards in fashion, beauty and lifestyle with international designer brands for more than 140 years. The collaboration is an exciting partnership between two brands that are both committed to offering premium quality and designer brands.

“We are delighted to welcome Westwing, a major player in the Home & Living segment, to our Stuttgart flagship store. Our aim is to offer our customers an attractive and curated range that inspires and excites them. We are convinced that in Westwing we have found another strong partner for our Stuttgart store who will complement our product range very well,” says Holger Blecker, CEO of Breuninger.

In the new Store, Westwing wants to inspire its customers with products from its own Westwing Collection. The Store’s design is organic to support the customer’s journey and offer a wide view of the space and products. The warm colours and natural materials such as travertine are also intended to make customers feel at home in the Store. By placing various QR codes around the Store, customers are given an enhanced shopping experience that is not limited to the in-store selection, but also offers access to Westwing’s broader online offering.

“The expansion is another important step on our way to creating the most beautiful shopping experience for our target group, design lovers. The decision to be present at Breuninger in Stuttgart fits seamlessly into our growth strategy, opens up an important market and provides accessibility for our customers in the region. The store-in-store in Stuttgart offers us the unique opportunity to present our Westwing Collection in the wonderful fashion and lifestyle ambience of Breuninger. We look forward to welcoming our new and loyal customers in the Breuninger flagship store,” says Andreas Hoerning, CEO of Westwing.
