Westwing strengthens partnership with DHL for faster and more sustainable delivery
Munich, 10 February 2026 – Westwing, Europe’s #1 in Beautiful Living e-commerce, is expanding its long-standing partnership with DHL Group to further enhance its premium delivery experience. The strengthened collaboration enables faster delivery times, greater convenience for customers and more sustainable shipping solutions across Germany and selected European markets.
As part of the partnership, Westwing is making use of DHL’s GoGreen Plus service. This allows Westwing to actively address transport-related greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions through investments in logistics solutions along the supply chain, including electric delivery vehicles, sustainable fuels and renewable energy sources. All Westwing shipments fulfilled by DHL now exclusively use paper-based packaging materials, significantly limiting the use of plastic.
DHL has been a trusted last-mile delivery partner for Westwing for several years. Building on this successful collaboration and as part of Westwing’s premiumisation strategy, extensive market research identified DHL as the premium delivery partner in Germany. This decision underlines Westwing’s ambition to offer its customers not only inspiring design, but also a seamless, high-quality delivery experience.
Sustainability is a shared priority for both partners. Through the GoGreen Plus service, DHL relies on insetting and the so-called “book & claim system”. This system decouples the benefits of sustainable fuels from the physical transport process and transfers them to customers such as Westwing, even when individual shipments are not physically transported using these fuels. By prioritising emission-reduced shipping solutions, Westwing and DHL are responding to growing customer expectations for more responsible logistics.
Together with DHL, Westwing also offers the Pick-Up / Drop-Off (PUDO) option in Germany. Customers can choose delivery to lockers and drop-off locations for Westwing’s permanent assortment. Over the course of this year, the service will be extended to non-permanent assortments, making PUDO available across Westwing’s entire product portfolio and offering even more flexibility and convenience in the last mile.
Valentin Dessel, Key Account Manager Post & Parcel Germany at DHL Group, said: “We are thrilled to strengthen our partnership with Westwing. Together we look forward to delivering exceptional shipping services and supporting our customers’ values through GoGreen Plus.”
Erick Gerber, Chief Operations Officer at Westwing, added: “At Westwing, operational excellence and sustainability go hand in hand. By expanding our collaboration with DHL and making use of GoGreen Plus, we are not only making our supply chain faster, but also less carbon-intensive. This initiative represents an important milestone in our sustainability strategy and a further step towards offering our customers an even higher-quality service experience, and this is only the beginning.”
To further optimise its European logistics network, DHL has made a strategic investment in its advanced International Logistics Center in Poland, located just two kilometres from Westwing’s European Logistics Center (ELC) in Robakowo near Poznań. The close proximity enables shorter transport routes, faster parcel sorting and more efficient processing.
Westwing was among the first partners to secure access to this state-of-the-art facility. As a result, DHL can deliver significantly shorter lead times for Westwing customers, with some orders in Germany arriving in as little as two days. The improved speed and reliability are expected to further increase customer satisfaction and loyalty.
Beyond Germany, DHL eCommerce continues to support Westwing’s international growth by contributing to a consistent, high-quality delivery experience across selected European markets.
