Our commitment to sustainability is something we take seriously. We expect our suppliers and brand partners to follow our principles for production processes and working conditions, as detailed in our Business Partner Code of Conduct and our Private Label Supplier Code of Conduct, and to safeguard both the environment and human health and safety.
In order to address the impacts of our supply chain, we have been working with our Westwing Collection suppliers to strengthen oversight of their performance by systematically evaluating third-party audit reports, conducting internal social and environmental audits, and introducing a rigorous onboarding process for new suppliers. In addition, Westwing has a Zero Tolerance protocol for the most serious human rights violations within its Westwing Collection supply base, such as child labour, forced labour, or other critical cases, which are addressed under Board supervision and may result in the termination of the business relationship.
Going forward, we will continue to focus on improving the social and environmental conditions of our Westwing Collection suppliers by applying greater rigour in our audit processes, ensuring systematic follow-up on corrective action plans (CAPs), providing further training to suppliers, and collaborating with recognised social audit initiatives.
